Possibly Jamie is an electronic pop producer-singer-songwriter based in Glasgow, Scotland. Borrowing the monicker from Bjork's "Possibly Maybe," Jamie is heavily influenced by the iconic art-pop performers and producers from the 80's to present day, including Kate Bush, Charli XCX and FKA twigs. Releasing his first song "this body" in the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jamie has released two EP's (The Jami-EP #1 and #2, respectively) and built up a loyal fanbase on social media. His recent headline show at Glasgow's Hug and Pint was evidence that his online following has translated into a dedicated group who are excited to see what's next for Jamie.
Thematically, Jamie approaches topics like queer masculinity, apathy, obsession, and heartbreak in the age of the internet, but always with a dark comedic twist that sets him apart from other artists. With all of his music self-written and self-produced, Jamie has a unique electronic sound that combines his classical music training and vocal talent with his passion for heavy, distorted electronic sounds and synths.
